THREE TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRES TO BE ORGANIZED FOR “SLAVIANSKI BAZAAR IN VITEBSK”

Three temporary tourist information centers, located in Ratushnaya (Town Hall) Square, Pushkin Street, Suvorov Street, will be working from 10 July to 16 July in Vitebsk.

The working hours during the festival are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The centres aim at presenting the tourist potential of the city and region, and creating a comfortable information environment for those who come to the festival.

At the tourist information centers you can get the necessary information on how to spend you free time effectively in the regional center, get to know the sights of the Vitebsk region, participate in festival cultural events and excursion programs.

On 14 July and 15 July, the tourist centre staff -students of the faculty of history of the Masherov Vitebsk State University will be giving free tours of Vitebsk as part of the action “Dedicated to my favorite city...”: “Burning lights of my life” (based on autobiographical novels by Mark and Bella Chagall), “Fairy tales, adventures, mysteries” (excursion for children, recommended age 9-12 years), “Look back through the centuries“ (photo-reconstruction tour), “Heritage of the Catholic Church”.

From 10 to 16 July a daily quest tour “1664” will be held (animation tour of the XVII century Vitebsk, the number of participants is limited) and a free city quest.

To provide the festival participants and guests with tourist services, the Department of Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture of the Executive Committee will organize joint work with OAO “Vitebskoblautotrans” and the Institution of Culture “Vitebsk Regional Local Lore Museum” for paid bus tours.

On the festival days, from 10 to 16 July, from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. hotline +375 29 717 81 83, +375 29 614 01 00, will be working to give the information about the festival events, the activities of tourist information centers, excursions and tours, as well as the availability of accommodation facilities in the city of Vitebsk and the region.
